Visit the Tooth Relic in Kandy
The center of Sri Lanka’s Theravada Buddhist Tradition, The Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa), holds the tooth relic of Buddha. Associated with prestige, philosophy and power, whom ever in possession of the relic was thought to have had the rite to rule Sri Lanka and protect Buddhism and its traditions.
Climb Sigiriya & Visit Dambulla Temple
Sigiriya, is an ancient rock fortress built by King Kashyapa, with ruins and remnants of this great citadel serving as memories of a golden era in Sri Lankan history, it consists of foundations of palaces at the summit, water gardens, Frescoes, terraced gardens and boulder gardens. It leaves archaeologists marveling at how all this was possible some 1500 years ago. A visit to Sigiriya is not complete without a tour of the Dambulla Cave Temple and also hiking up Pidurangala rock.

Sri Lanka is said to offer a wildlife experience to match Africa. Although a small island Sri Lanka boasts several wildlife parks offering a chance to glimpse animals and birds in their natural habitat.
Visit Anuradhapura & Polonnaruwa
Anuradhapura is the first ancient capital of Sri Lanka, lasting more than a 1000years, it is capital that endured the longest. It is important to locals as a religious center, a heritage site, and as a cultural symbol. It is world-famous for its well-preserved ruins of the Great Sri Lankan Civilizations. Today the ancient city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best planned archeological relic sites in the country, standing testimony to the discipline and greatness of the kingdom’s first rulers.

Our journey wouldn’t be complete without visit and exploring one of the many waterfalls in Sri Lanka. “Diyaluma” is the most talked about waterfall with it easy access and complex of infintity pools at the summit. There are plenty of waterfalls to choose from and viewing them from a observation point is pretty nice, but nothing beats hiking your way up to the very foot of these majestic wonders.
